I used to existing 4X4 posts from the previous wood hand rail. The iron rail was lightly sanded, primed, and painted white with spray enamel paint. Looks great and feels smooth. Quality product. The only suggestion is to make sure you have a powerful high-speed drill.

Old handrail was splintered and wobbly (unsafe). Replaced with a new DIY handrail system that is safe and sturdy.

After a couple of friends almost toppled off my front steps I knew I needed a handrail on the open side. I chose DIY because of style and how it is made. Solid! Also, the price can’t be beat for the A+ quality. Couldn’t have been easier to install. Looks great. I like it.

Now that we are in our upper 60s it was time for a handrail. With rest breaks it took about 2 hours to install on a hot summer day. So nice that it comes with the drill, screws, and socket so all that you have to do is unpack the box and install it.

Beautifully built product. Very sturdy and nicely finished. Installation takes some time (due to drilling eight 6 inch deep holes in concrete) but the end result is worth it.
